POP 101: het schilderij (de posters)
POP 101 is een schilderij (acryl op canvas, 100x120cm) met daarop 101 artiestenlogo's met de hand getekend door mij, Ricco van Nierop. Favoriete artiesten natuurlijk, die een blijvende indruk hebben achtergelaten. Naar mate het tekenen vorderde, bleek ik veel te veel favorieten te hebben (uiteindelijk stonden er op mijn kladje wel ruim 300 namen), dus werd het selecteren en kwam ik op het idee om er precies 101 van te maken. POP 101; de basis van de popmuziek, according to me, dan hè.

POP 101: de radiospecials
POP 101 is tevens een reeks radiospecials. Je bent hier tenslotte aanbeland op het blog behorende bij het Den Haag FM-radioprogramma De Nieuwe Van Nierop. ELke zondagavond presenteer ik tussen 19-20uur de beste nieuwe releases. Aangezien er in de zomerperiode minder nieuwe muziek uitkomt, hoor je op drie zondagavonden (28 juli, vanaf 19:00, 4 augustus, let op pas om 20:00 + 11 augustus, 19:00) een zes-uur-durende reeks radiospecials, waarin alle op het schilderij afgebeelde artiesten voorbij komen. Met vrolijke up-tempo-song. De specifieke songtitels, playlisten (tevens een 2e playlist met rustige songs) en terugluistermogelijkheden (natuurlijk pas na afloop te gebruiken) verschijnen hieronder zodra de eerste special uitgezonden wordt.
