440: Dozier's Triple Dozen Terugluisteren kan hier
Lamont Dozier overleed afgelopen week op 81-jarige leeftijd. Hij werd vooral bekend als onderdeel van het Motown-schrijverstrio Holland-Dozier-Holland dat in de jaren '60 successen had met veel toffe soul-pop-hits, maar maakte ook solo-werk als zanger ('70's) en schreef later nog voor andere artiesten om vervolgens in deze eeuw zijn oude composities zelf op te nemen. In deze special gaat het vliegensvlug door deze vier periodes heen en in de bijgeleverde playlist is het aantal songs uitgebreid tot 100, wat met zo'n staat van dienst alleen maar toepasselijk is.
Na de eerste plaat hoor je een fragment van de fantastische podcast-reeks 'A History of Rock Music in 500 songs', waarin schrijver Andrew Hickey met een hedendaagse blik naar de vroege popmuziek kijkt, zeer gedetailleerd en aangenaam verteld.
